Sage TCR Series
Introducing the New Ultra High-Performance TCR Series
The fly rod as pure concept. That's the thinking behind our new, limited series Technical Casting Rods (TCR). It all started as a design exercise to find out just how far we could push the boundaries of fast-action tapers and high line speed, while maintaining a rod's all-important fishability. The result of this R & D was a series of prototypes that became so popular here at Sage, we felt compelled to offer them to our customers.
To be clear, these rods are not for the casual angler. The TCR Series is designed for skilled casters facing the most demanding conditions—long shots at spooky bones, waking dries into distant steelhead lies, or punching hoppers into the wind on big Western trout rivers. Basically, any situation where technical precision, distance and the ability to cut through wind are at a premium, the TCR will give you the advantage you need.
The TCR Series features hand-shaped grips, made only from individually selected Flor grade, premium-quality cork rings, distinctive "chili pepper" blanks, and the finest components available. To maximize performance, we've also designed a new fly line specifically for the TCR, called the TCR Performance Taper. These lines are 110 feet long with an extended belly for increased line control and a narrower running section for serious shooting distance. If you're ready to experience the extreme edge of ultra-fast rod design and uncompromising fishability, try a TCR. We think you'll be amazed.

Sage SLT Series
Since its introduction last year, the SLT has earned generous praise from both new customers and dyed-in-the-wool fans of its predecessor, the famed SP. Unbelievably light, the classic, medium-fast taper and silky-smooth action will delight anglers who prefer a longer, more relaxed casting rhythm, yet demand the highest level of performance. SLT rods feature our latest slim-line ferrule technology, allowing us to build a series of 2-piece, 3-piece, 4-piece and 5-piece rods that flex so smoothly, you may forget there are any ferrules at all. At the same time, every SLT rod is made with Graphite IIIe, for the high line speed and power you need to feel comfortable in any fishing situation. If you're looking for the ultimate blend of elegance, finesse and performance, we believe the SLT Series is without peer.

Sage XP Series
Pick up one of our fast action XP rods, and the first thing you'll notice is the almost magical lightness in your hand. Fish an XP, and simply put, it will come alive. Designed for anglers with a quick, compact casting stroke, the XP series rods load quickly, generate tremendous line speed and pick up large amounts of line with ease. Wind? No problem. Heavy sink-tips? Perfect. Bulky flies? Bring 'em on. But don't be deceived by the power-XP rods are made with graphite IIIe, giving them exceptional sensitivity for more delicate work as well. Spend a little time with an XP, and you'll see why it's the instrument of choice whenever crisp, precise line control is a must. Whether you're sliding a #22 trico on 7X into a distant feeding lane, quick-firing hoppers from a bouncing drift boat or tossing industrial strength shooting heads to cruising kings, XP rods are the standard by which all other fast action fly rods are judged.

Sage RPLXi Series
Big water. Serious wind. Powerful fish. There is no more challenging environment for a fly rod than saltwater-whether it's stalking skittish bonefish on the flats, throwing lead-eye Clousers at busting albacore, or the back-breaking tug-of-war with a sounding billfish. That's why every rod in our RPLXi series is specifically designed for the task at hand. Our exclusive enhanced action taper makes it easy to fire a cast into the teeth of a howling Nor'easter, and slug it out in the trenches with the big boys. At the same time, even the most powerful RPLXi feels light and properly balanced in your hand to reduce fatigue. Oversized tip-tops and guides handle knots and heavy lines, while our custom fighting butts provide extra comfort and leverage. And because getting there is always an issue, we've designed a series of remarkable three- and five-piece rods that give you the famous RPLXi action without the typical travel hassles. In short, the RPLXi series rods are the easiest casting, highest performance saltwater fly rods in the world.

Sage Two-handed Series
Wherever your quest for steelhead or salmon takes you, from the rumbling, glacial rivers of the Pacific Northwest to Quebec, Iceland or Russia, one fact is a constant: you will have to cover a lot of water. Our two-handed rods are designed to make long casts and powerful mends easier and more efficient. In other words, you'll spend more time fishing effectively and less time stripping line, false casting and snagging streamside brush. We also understand that long casts mean nothing without proper line control, which is why our two-handed rods are without equal when it comes to making precise mends in complex currents. And because you will probably make more than a few casts between fish-not that you're counting-the light, lively feel of a Sage two-hander makes each cast and swing a pleasure. Once you try one of our traditional spey-action tapers or faster, European-style rods, you'll wonder how you ever fished with a single-hander-or any other two-hander, for that matter.

G· Loomis

G· Loomis GLX Series
When you get to the river (or lake, or salt flat) and pull out a GLX fly rod, you’re in for a different experience. For starters, these rods are 25% lighter than rods of comparable strength, so even the simple act of removing it from the truck is more enjoyable. Once rigged, you’ll find the fast-action, medium stiffness and progressive taper help you throw out beautiful high-speed loops with newfound ease. After one of these beautiful casts, you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy its incredibly sensitive tip fighting the fish you couldn’t quite reach before. It may seem presumptive to suggest you can’t experience this with someone else’s fly rod, but quite frankly no other rod maker has GLX graphite. Not even close. Basically, whether you’re an expert fly angler who wants every last bit of his ability to shine through, or an intermediate angler who wants to improve his abilities practically overnight, the GLX is the rod you need.

G· Loomis GL³ Series
Undoubtedly the best performance value on the market, these rods are extremely forgiving and very lightweight, actually helping to minimize the most common mistake in casting: the tailing loop. Designed with a multi-taper tip, they feel slightly stiffer than our other rod families, generating high line-speed with a slightly wider loop. That extra stiffness also makes them quite powerful, capable of making nice long, accurate casts. Some rod companies charge twice what a GL3 will cost you. But if you’re looking for a high-performance graphite rod that will let you cast like you know you can, none of them will outperform a GL3.
